Contingent Workers
Contingent workers work for organizations without being hired as employees. Examples of contingent workers are freelancers, contractors, consultants, and temporary workers employed by a staffing agency. Services are provided on a contract, project, or as-needed basis. Usually, they are hired to help with a specific project or meet a business need.
Using contingent workers means you can reach specialized staff with skills not available within the workforce. It also gives organizations more flexibility as you can respond to changing needs without adding to the workforce.
